Henry Ford
Henry Ford was the man who created the Ford Model T car, as well as the assembly line mode of production. Throughout his lifetime, he sold millions of cars, and became an extremely successful businessman. His ideas and creations were so major, they changed the way technology was viewed. But again, this success did not come without a little baggage.
When Ford was a kid, he loved to tinker with things, and when given a pocket watch, his first instinct was to take it apart to see, and understand how it worked, only to reassemble it immediately after. He developed a knack for mechanical engineering. But it was 1896 before Ford actually created his first model car. A car called |

the Ford Quadricycle. However in presenting his model to the public, he ended up presenting to Thomas Edison, who told him he could do better. Not getting discouraged, Ford went back to modeling his car, to make it the best version of itself. Henry Ford went on to build a few more models, but was unsatisfied with them all. After a long battle of trial and error, he ended up with a company called The Detroit Automobile Company. He came out with a new, and improved model car shortly after. However, this is where he began to face some problems. No matter how improved from the first model it was, it still wasn't perfect, or even close to it. Parts for his car were coming in from all over the world, and some of them were just to heavy and awkward to even be able to use the way Ford wanted. He worked feverishly to try and fix all the problems with his model, but eventually, because of his lack of progress in a short period of time, the board of directors took over, and his company was dissolved.
Henry Ford refused to accept his failure, so he took some time to get to the bottom of it in order to fully understand what he was missing. He finally figured out that his failure was due to the fact that he was making cars that fit too well with the wants of consumers. He wanted to make anew model that was both more efficient, and effective. With help from a friend, they created The Henry FordCompany. However, Ford left this company due to added pressure from his business partner, who brought men in to watch his process. At this point in his career, Henry had failed his two chances, nobody trusted him enough to give him another chance. That's when he came out with his own company, The Ford Motor Company, and his world changing assembly line. In doing so, he was able to produce about 15 cars a day, back then, this was a huge deal. With his assembly line he was able to make well made Model A cars, which many consumers enjoyed. From then on, The Ford Motor Company only grew. This is a great example of someone persevering through hardships in their career, and still pushing for success, and getting it.
